Doug Emsley, President

Mr. Doug Emsley is President of Assiniboia Capital Corp. and of Palliser Farmland Management Corp., a related company which supplies farmland management services. Doug has a wide array of business and professional experience in the Province of Saskatchewan. He is the President of Emsley & Associates (2002) Inc., which operates an executive business centre in downtown Regina, President of Security Resource Group Inc. (an IT security consulting firm), and Sabre West Oil & Gas Ltd. (an oil & gas company). A successful entrepreneur, he previously built Vision Security & Investigations Inc. into the largest security firm in Western Canada, before selling the company to Securitas Canada Limited.

Doug has an MBA from York University in Toronto, and is a director of the Institute for Research in Public Policy and the Bank of Canada.

Brad Farquhar, Vice-President

Mr. Brad Farquhar is Vice-President of Assiniboia Capital. He has a wide array of experience in small business, investments, public affairs, and international consulting. Mr. Farquhar is a trained financial planner and holds a Canadian Securities License. He received his Master of Public Administration degree in Electoral Governance from Griffith University in Australia, studied political science at Carleton University, and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts at Providence College. He has been engaged as an international consultant on matters related to the conduct of elections in Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Brad is also a part-time faculty member in the Department of Political Science at the University of Regina. Brad previously served as Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Party, as Executive Assistant to the Leader of the Opposition in Saskatchewan, and in several communications positions with a national political party in Calgary and on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
